Authentic Adventures grew out of founder John Brough's love of searching out the rural heart of Spain on walking tours in Andalucia. This philosophy of getting deep into the core of each place we visit remains just as strong today, wherever we go.

What continues to be special about Spain is the wealth of variety and contrasts it offers across, or even within, its different regions. Be it history, culture, food, wine, landscape or flora and fauna, Spain's extraordinary diversity is what keeps us - and so many of our guests - coming back again and again.

One constant, wherever we go, is the warmth and hospitality of our Spanish hosts and their pleasure in sharing their region with us.

Each of our walking holidays offers something unique. The Alpujarras offers the drama of the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, where villages cling to the sides of the gorges and wherever you walk you find the memories of the Moors.

Grazalema is famed for its Pueblos Blancos or white villages, its limestone peaks and the exceptional flora and bird life.

New this year, Lanzarote offers a strikingly different landscape born of volcanic upheaval in past centuries. You'll be walking in country which is as strange as it is beautiful.

Menorca, also new to our itinerary, is a more ancient island, and its storm-shaped coastline and blue marine vistas will form the backdrop to our routes - of which we offer a choice, both easy and more challenging.
