Flowers, temples and natural wonders
A typical week on this walking holiday in Gozo
A short hop from Malta airport to the Gozo ferry. Take a dip in the sea before dinner.
Town and Country
A chance to enjoy coastal walking with fabulous views from the highest cliffs in Gozo, discover an ancient hunting ground of the knights of Malta and an introduction to the charming capital of Victoria.
Roman salt pans
From the small village of Ghasri, we follow old country roads to the seaside town of Marsalforn. From here, we explore the ancient salt pans which date back to the Romans before heading back inland along the route of an ancient water course.
The wild west
On the wild west coast we walk along the high cliffs of Wardija, and visit an ancient Punic spa, before dropping down to the natural wonders of the Azure Window and the inland sea. Following country paths, we head home via the knights’ watchtower, and prehistoric cave dwellings.
Talk a rest from walking and relax, swim, enjoy a diving lesson, take an island tour or a boat to Comino. Or cross the water to Baroque Valletta.
A walk along the eastern side of the island with sea views over to Comino and Malta. We visit Qala point with its ancient cart ruts, a medieval chapel and the pretty bay at Hondoq Ir Rummien, returning via the cliffs.
All along the watchtower
From Ghajnsielem village, we follow the southern coastal path passing an ancient watchtower of the knights and visiting the beautiful, tiny inlet of Mgarr ix-Xini, Ta Cenc, Sannat, and Saguna cliffs.
After early breakfast, we take the ferry back to Malta to catch our flights.
