Discovering the Five Lands
Our week of spectacular walking on the Italian Riviera leads us through mountains that dive to the sea, interspersed by tiny villages, once home to fishermen’s refuges. Walking holidays in the remote Cinque Terre were an inspiration for Shelley, Byron and others. Today, there are still very few roads. Only paths and trains open up this wonderful landscape

Our hotel, at Monterosso, is a short hop from Pisa airport. There's time to enjoy the view, take a dip or head off and explore.

A short train ride brings us to the famous Via dell’Amore. We cross vineyards and fields hanging between rugged mountains and cerulean sea. We return home by train.

A short train ride, then we climb to the Madonna di Reggio Sanctuary. A woodland walk brings us to a second ancient sanctuary, before descending to Monterosso along an ancient pilgrims' path.
