An authentic exploration of America's rich Deep South. Experience the stories, culture and cuisine that embody Louisiana, and get lost in harmonies sung in old convents, stunning outdoor parks and historic buildings along the way. Lose yourself in the vibrant heritage and traditions of New Orleans as you sing alongside like-minded individuals in the most memorable settings.

Known for its strong association with jazz music, this destination is also considered the birthplace of the genre. From its Dixieland origins to its later variations, this tour gives you the opportunity to experience it all in an authentic and immersive way.

Fuse intoxicating music with unforgettable culture as you explore the city's iconic sights, step behind-the-scenes where traditions such as its Mardi Gras festival are concerned, and embrace the atmosphere of group singing in evocative locations that range from a typical Deep South plantation to a convent that will provide truly magnificent acoustics.

Day 1 - Arrival day

We take an afternoon flight to New Orleans and upon arrival, we will enjoy dinner together at our hotel before relaxing and unwinding ahead of tomorrow's activities.

Day 2 - Alfresco singing

Our day begins in the 32-acre Louis Armstrong Park, which is located just steps from the historic French Quarter, where we will sing together as a group for the first time. Afterwards, we will sit down to a picnic lunch. In the afternoon, we will be treated to jazz on the river as we have lined up a private performance by the Dixie Family jazz band. Dinner will be at a local restaurant and we can then return to our hotel for the evening.

Day 3 - New Orleans' sights & sounds

Today starts with a guided bus tour through New Orleans to see its main attractions and various districts. After lunch in the area, we have secured a private tour of Mardi Gras World, which is a museum that offers a genuine behind-the-scenes glimpse into the city's renowned Mardi Gras traditions. Here, we can watch incredible costumes for the parade being made in the workshops and also sample a piece of the famous (and quite delicious) King Cake.

Day 4 - And all that jazz

Take part in a group singing activity at a special location organised by our singing leader, Faith. At lunch time, we will sit down to a picnic lunch and welcome break. Afterwards, we will learn more about the crafts of jazz, from its origins to its place in the modern music world, and there will also be a very exciting opportunity to sing with the New Orleans jazz choir and steel band.

Day 5 - Amazing acoustics

We are treated to a singing space that boasts amazing acoustics this morning, namely the Old Ursuline convent. Our private access ensures that this will be a special rehearsal indeed. There will be lunch in the city before we can enjoy some well deserved free time, with which you could choose to tour museums, perhaps sample a world-famous beignet or walk around the city's charming streets. There is no shortage of things to do in New Orleans, and with a free afternoon and evening there is ample time to explore it at your leisure.

Day 6 - The authentic Deep South

Immersed in the stories of the antebellum south, we begin with a tour of both the Oak Alley and Laura plantations. Located on the west bank of the Mississippi River, this historic plantation, which was used for scenes in the Hollywood movie 'Interview with a Vampire', is emblematic of the architectural styles of its time period. After our tour, we stop for lunch and then there will be a chance to sing at the main house, which is simply beautiful. In the evening, we will board the authentic Steamboat Natchez for a wonderful dinner cruise.

Day 7 - Free time and night flight

After free time to explore the area at our leisure and perhaps buy some souvenirs, we will have lunch at the renowned Little Gem Saloon before our night flight back to the UK.

Day 8 - Return home

This morning we arrive back into London, where we bid farewell to our group and then make our way home.
