A typical itinerary on this Acapella singing holiday in Sri Lanka
From the airport you will be transferred to a luxury beachfront hotel in Negombo.
Sigiriya – three nights
We enjoy the luxurious surroundings of the Aliya Resort, singing at the hotel with the spectacular backdrop of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. The cave temples of Dambulla are a wonderful place to sing and we visit the Minneriya National Park with its famed elephant herds.
Kandy – three nights
From the calm surroundings of the Earl Regency Hotel, in the midst of tea plantations, there’s more singing and gentle walking woven into fascinating visits to the Temple of the Tooth, the fabulous botanical gardens, tea plantations, factories and the surrounding hillsides.
Nuwara Eliya – three nights
Still in hill country, we head to Nuwara Eliya. Reflecting the colonial era this ‘Little England’ is covered with terraces growing potatoes, carrots, leeks, and roses, interspersed with tea bushes on the steeper slopes. We stay in The Grand Hotel, the palatial residence of the governor of Sri Lanka in the 1820s.
Galle – three nights
The coastal and historic setting of Galle abounds with fabulous spots around the old fort with its imposing, sea-facing walls and the narrow, colourful streets. Adventures include witnessing the famous stilt fishermen and a whale-watching trip. Our luxury hotel fronts the beach from where, on the final evening, we enjoy a fire, barbecue and sing-song with the local choir. A fantastic end to an incredible Acapella singing holiday in Sri Lanka.
We leave early for Colombo airport.
