We sing high in the mountains, beside the meeting of mountain streams, on the floors of ancient threshing terraces and in the squares and churches of the Taha villages.

A typical week

Arrival day

Leaving Málaga we reach our hotel in the mountains in time for a walk through the village and a short sing together before dinner.

Morning songs

We spend most mornings singing in the hotel, the local church and out in hills of the Alpujarras.

In the afternoon

To get the most out of your visit to this stunning landscape, the holiday is aimed at those who enjoy walking as well as singing. After a lunch on most days we offer the option of an easy walk of 3-5 miles.

Some days this may involve walking through farmland, along the old acequias (irrigation channels) and we will journey to discover the high villages of the Poqueira gorge. With luck we will walk to O Sel Ling, the Buddhist centre opened by the Dalai Lama and perhaps have the chance to sing in this unique location.

Free day – an optional excursion

This is a great chance to visit Granada (1¼ hours) and the Alhambra palace. Alternatively you might enjoy relaxing and swimming at the hotel, exploring the villages or perhaps booking a lesson in the Alexander technique or a local massage.

Departure day

We depart for Málaga airport.
