Morocco • The South West • Taroudant
Echoes within the city walls A typical weekArrival dayLeaving Marrakech we arrive in Taroudant in time for a quiet wander round the gardens before dinner. Singing in the governor's palaceAfter the mornings spent singing at the hotel, we take a short walk to the town of Taroudant. After a relaxing lunch in the square you can explore further or return to enjoy the tranquillity of the hotel's pools and garden. There will be a short sing before dining together.
Enjoying local hospitalityOne morning we visit Fateema's house in the village of Tiout, and sing in the courtyard while she prepares lunch for us. Another morning we explore the village of Riad in the foothills of the Atlas mountains, and sing at Aziz's house, while his wife plies us with mint tea. Free day finding treasuresVisit the coastal town of Agadir, barter in Taroudant market or relax in the gardens. Over the Atlas mountainsAfter breakfast we climb the Atlas stopping at Tinmal mosque. At the Tizi n Test pass we take mint tea and then go on to the idyllic La Bergerie to sing or relax for the rest of the day. We stay in this magical setting overnight. Departure dayA short transfer to Marrakech airport.
Note: On our visit to the mountain village, it will be necessary
to walk on stony paths. For those who do not want to do this, there is an option
to relax in the tranquil gardens. This is the planned itinerary but please be aware
that it may change if circumstances necessitate or groups request it.
