Howling at the moon
Voices echoing in medieval churches, good food, walks in
the mountains and the occasional late night encounter with wolves.
A typical week
Arrival day
Leaving Rome we reach our hotel in the mountains in time for a walk to the lake
and a short sing together before dinner.
Mornings singing
We spend the mornings singing in the hotel, in the village church or outdoors. Before
dinner we have another sing, and possibly a trip to the wolves.
Afrernoons walking
These holidays are aimed at those who enjoy walking as well as singing. Joining
us is an exceptionally knowledgeable and amusing local guide who will offer a daily
walk in the nearby mountains. If you prefer not to go on the walk, the afternoons
are free to relax or explore.
Calling to wolves
Wolves never became extinct here; we usually visit the woods at night where they
live to call to them and listen for their reply.
Free day to explore
A chance to explore the lake and village, cycling around the lake or even hiring
a kayak may be possible in season.
Departure day
We depart early for Rome airport.

Impromptu magical moments
We prepare some unique, locally-specific events for the sense of magic they bring.
Recent examples include: trading songs with a local choir, joining local musicians
for a barbeque by the lake, performing in the local church and listening to an inpromptu
organ recital by the tutor in a nearby cathedral. Carmelo, the hotel manager, occasionally
encourages karaoke in the hotel bar in the evenings!
We know that magical moments will happen but we cannot tell the form they may take!
By definition, impromptu adventures like these are not set in stone, and wolves
cannot always be guaranteed to howl in return to our call. But it does happen!
