From the airport you will be transferred to the Rann Riders Hotel in Dasada.
Dasada – three nights
Leaving Ahmedabad airport, we make our way to Dasada. After plenty of rest, Faith will bring our group together in a gentle introduction to the holiday and singing programme. Faith will bring the group together in happy harmony within a few sessions, and most mornings will be filled with world music and song. Hum your way around the interesting cultural sites and markets in the afternoons, including Kankaria Lake, Jain Temple, Mahatma Gandhi’s home and the Sabarmati riverfront.
Rajkot – three nights
The Khirasara Palace, just beyond the bustling city of Rajkot, is the perfect base for our three nights in India. Sing from the elevated position of the Khirasara Palace with stunning panoramic views, taking in the spectacular 450 year old heritage of the building and its history. We’ll head into nearby Rajkot for a spot of sightseeing and shopping, stopping by at the Watson Museum, Shri Ramakrishna Ashram, Mahatma Gandhi High School with many other options.
Sasan Gir – three nights
The Lion Safari Camp in the Sasan National Park is the base for three nights in luxury, tented accommodation. Sasan Gir National Park is the last remaining home of the Asiatic lion. Since 1980, another eighty six lions have been born thanks to the important work at the sanctuary. It is also the best place in India to see Big Cats, with the highest population of leopards in any national park. The Kamleshwar dam in the middle of the park is home to marsh crocodiles. Other wildlife includes deer, blue bull, wild boar, hyena, and three hundred different bird varieties.
Ahmedabad – three nights
Ahmedabad, former capital city of Gujarat, is the largest city in the region, located on the banks of the Sabarmati river. Cricket, cotton and commerce are central to the culture here. There will be lots of time to enjoy the comfort of the hotel, spa and indoor swimming pool.
We leave early for Ahmedabad airport.

Khirasara Palace, Rajkot
The Khirasara Palace, just 14kms beyond the bustling city of Rajkot, has a rich four hundred and fifty year history of royalty and the glorious past of Kathiawar. The twenty five suites have been sympathetically restored with modern amenities including wi-fi, minibar, tea and coffee facilities, a safe and televisions. The palace is strategically located on top of a hill with a stunning 360 degree view across the seven acres of the estate.
The Lion Safari Camp, Sasan Gir
The Lion Safari Camp, owned by Camps of India is located in a private mango orchard overlooking the Hiran River. This eco-friendly camp has twenty one air conditioned, luxury tents, each one with a large, well furnished bedroom and en-suite bathroom. They all open out on to an extended deck, a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The park has an awesome array of wildlife and is one of the best places in India to see Big Cats with the highest population of leopards. The Kamleshwar dam is home to a record population of marsh crocodiles, there are three hundred bird varieties, wild boar, jackal, hyena, blue bull and spotted deer.
Rann Riders, Dasara
Rann Riders is an eco-friendly resort with comfortable accommodation in individual cottages that resemble traditional Dasada kooba houses and bhunga houses of the Rabaris of Kutch. They are decorated with mirrors, mud plaster work and pretty embroidery. Every cottage has air conditioning, a comfortable bed, dressing area, tiled bathroom and a shower. Enjoy both Indian and continental cuisine, served from a buffet or pre-plated, camp style around a fire. Tandoori is the resort speciality, also serving Gujarati, Dasada and Bengali cuisine. Vegetarian food is also available.

The Fern, is Gujarat’s first ecotel. A contemporary hotel of ninety six rooms and suites, the hotel is an elegant combination of European linear design and the deep roots of the traditional Gujarati themes. There is a spa and indoor swimming pool, excellent food and service.
