Streets and Markets of the
East End
The East End of London is famed for its vibrant, multicultural and colourful way of life and as such is a perfect location to explore.

With a gentle walking pace, we will cover a huge variety of subject matter, beautiful churches, old boozers, squares, alleys and busy streets whilst taking time to capture the old east end characters and new young hipsters that populate this area. During the day we will visit one or more of the following markets: Columbia Road Flower Market, Brick Lane, Spitalfields and Petticoat Lane.

The aim of the day is to help guests to get to grips with any camera functions they are unsure of, give a brief, engaging summary of creative techniques and composition, and then get out and have fun practising and learning to see things in a new way and from different angles.

Typical programme

9:30 - Day starts

9:30 - 10:30

Introduction, briefing and discussion of main technical points over a slideshow. Feedback from guests will influence content.

10:30 - 14:30

Accompanied shooting around one of the following, Columbia Road Flower Market, Brick Lane Market, Spitalfields and Petticoat Lane. We will have a brief lunch stop.

14:30 - 16:00

Review of the days photos.

16:00 - 16:30

Summary of the lessons learnt and brief slideshow.
