England

If you're motivated to become a better photographer, or keen to just get started, here's an opportunity to have an intensive day of learning with some of the UK's top photographers in their specialist subject areas. We have asked our holiday course tutors to run one-day workshops for small groups, each focusing on a different photographic subject and the skills and techniques needed to master them.

Some of our planned days include...

Bosham Coastal Village

Historic Waterside Village

A gentle wander around the pretty village of Bosham reveals a wide range of photo opportunities and a good environment for learning.

Streets & Markets of the East End

Streets & Markets of the East End of London

The East End of London is famed for its vibrant, multicultural and colourful way of life and as such is a perfect location to explore.

Bluebells & Beeches

Bluebells and Woodlands

The escarpment edge of the Southern Cotswolds is an ideal location for the gentle, more intimate approach to landscape photography.

Thames Bankside London

Tales of the Riverbank

The South Bank is rich with waterfront images, buildings, people and reflections - a great location to get started.

Photographic day workshops
What you'll learn
Ideally suited to those new to digital SLRs, you'll develop an understanding of your camera:
Choosing the right lens
Modes and colour temperature
Judging the right exposure, depth of field and shutter speed
What makes a good photograph – and what makes a great one
The secrets of composition
Capturing water, movement and clouds
How the days work
We are planning to run these days in a variety of UK based locations.
The day courses are non-residential, which keeps the cost down to as little as £85 per day. Small group sizes ensure all abilities are catered for.
Tea and coffee are provided and breaks are used for reviews and discussion.
There are always bed and breakfast opportunities available locally – do let us know if you require help with these.
Meet the tutors
To enable you to judge our tutors and decide who might suit you, we include several examples of their work. If it would help to talk to a specific tutor prior to making a booking we are happy to give you their telephone numbers.
