Magical mists and mysteries
Pink rocks at dusk, lonely lighthouses, castles and boats with a sense of rural France in the midst. The close proximity of the locations enables us to respond quickly to the changing light conditions.

Some of our days

Arrival day

Guests are met from either the airport or ferry terminal and taken to our hotel. The afternoon and evening will be spent establishing the skills of our guests, exploring our local bay and enjoying a slide show and tutorial.

St Brelade's dawn

Walking down to the jetty and beach at dawn should provide an inspirational start. Later we spend time in the harbour town of St. Aubin and lunch overlooking the fishing vessels and yachts. Later we may visit the Farm museum complex at Hamptonne, with subtle interior lighting of furnished rooms and in the right season, the pressing of cider apples.

Cliffs, La Corbiere and a sense of the continent

At dawn we head to Beauport Bay for the white sand, pink rounded stones, jagged rocks and rock pool reflections. Later we head inland for a taste of the continent and the vineyards before searching for the perfect dusk shot of La Corbiere lighthouse with its numerous rocky vantage points and probable large waves.

Capturing the castle

Spiral stone stairways, secret chambers and interesting artwork in the Mont Orgueil Castle make for some great images. Later we shoot from the battlements! In the afternoon we visit the timeless Rozel Bay before capturing a sunset at on one of the west-facing bays.

A special beach

The northern beach of Plemont bay is described as one of Jersey's best kept secrets and so it is for photography with the golden sand bay, rock formations, cave and waterfall all giving rewarding photography. We should enjoy the effect of reflected colour here at dusk.

Departure day

Guests will be transferred to either the airport or port to suit their personal travel plans.
