Watercolours and water meadows
Honey-coloured stone, rolling hills and plunging valleys,
chalk streams, water mills and wild flower meadows – the Cotswolds have drawn artists
for generations.
Some of our days
Arrival day
We arrive in time for afternoon tea and an introduction to the days ahead.
Around the Hotel
Our first day is spent in the vicinity of the hotel, establishing individuals' styles
with demonstrations and private tutorials.
Castle Combe
This is one of the finest of Cotswold villages and we are privileged to have the
use and welcome of Weaver's Cottage, where we paint and enjoy refreshments in the
privacy of its secluded garden.
Water, willows and Waldorf
The gardens of Ruskin Mill College fall down the valley in a cascade of ponds. A
place of reflections, picturesque bridges and a wealth of wildlife.
Frampton on Severn
On the longest village green in the country, we spend the day beside duck ponds
reflecting on a variety of timeless images of everyday village life.
Departure day
With its very pretty church and classic Cotswold farm buildings, Nympsfield is a
perfect final-day location. We depart after tea.
Note: This is a selection of the many options available. Weather
conditions, group interests and the tutor will influence the final itinerary.
