Tranquil bays of startlingly clear waters reflect the deep blue skies which contrast the traditional white lime-washed farmhouses and villages and the fresh greens of spring and hues of early autumn.

Some of our days

Arrival day

We arrive at our hotel in Mahón in time for a demonstration and briefing.

Boats and buildings

After the morning at Alcaulfar Cove painting boats and old buildings, we sketch in the hotel grounds.

A quick succession session

We start with a quick succession of paintings of the fishing boats on the quay of Mahón which lays the ground for larger paintings. Lunch and a session in the square at Es Castell with the focus on old military buildings and people.

Relaxing and reflecting

The tranquil setting of Es Grau bay with waterside bar and restaurant makes a relaxing start. After coffee we sketch the derelict farm buildings reflected in the water.

Free day

Explore Ciutadella, the original capital, or relax by the pool.

Sitting on the dock of the bay

The morning spent at Calas Fonts capturing harbour life as it meanders by at Menorcan pace. Later we sketch and paint quick ideas in the lower part of Mahón near Santa Maria church.

Market day

Esplanada Square and the bustle of market day gathers pace around us as we work. In the afternoon we reflect on the week with a final demonstration and a light-hearted show.

Departure day

After breakfast it's just a 20-minute transfer to Mahón airport.
