A typical itinerary on this painting holiday in Montenegro

Arrival day

Leaving Dubrovnik we arrive in Kotor in time to explore the old streets before dinner.

Coastal Kotor

We capture the lovely lanes, squares, churches and waterfront scenes of the beautiful walled Venetian town of Kotor.

Perfect peace

Following the Vrmac peninsula we stop at the pretty village of Stoliv before winding our way inland to the peaceful old village of Gornja Lastva where we can paint its small church, and peaceful lanes shaded by Mulberry trees.

Lovely Lake Vardar

Climbing high into the mountains we reach the unique Lake Vardar with its ancient fishing customs. The waterfront and boats make marvellous painting subjects and we enjoy a relaxing trip on the lake.

Free day

Enjoy a break on this painting holiday and take the chance for further exploration of ancient Kotor, some swimming, perhaps a little shopping or an excursion to ancient Budva.

Remote Kraji Do

This village feels completely cut off from the sea and in this peaceful spot we capture old hayricks, cottages, barns and the small church while surrounded by birdsong.

Picture perfect Perast

By boat to the magical island of Gospa od Skrpjela where we paint the church with its blue roof, the lovely jetty and views back across the shimmering seas to Perast.

Departure day

We depart early for Dubrovnik airport.
