Calypso's Isle – sparkling gem in the Med
A typical itinerary on this painting holiday in Gozo
A short hop from Malta airport to the ferry then half an hour to Gozo in time for dinner.
Xlendi harbour and bay
Close to home we sit and paint the harbour, the nearby watchtower and the high sea cliffs.
Lunzjata Valley and chapel
Once the preserve of the Knights of St John, we lunch and paint beside an ancient chapel built into the cliffs, overlooking quiet market gardens.
The Citadel and It-Tokk Market
A day in the hilltop capital, from where the entire island skyline can be seen. Explore and paint the colourful bustling market square and basilica.
Take a break on this painting holidays and relax, swim, enjoy a diving lesson, take an island tour, a boat to Comino, or cross the water to Baroque Valletta.
Azure Window and Inland Sea
A very blue painting day. High cliffs conceal the “Inland Sea” busy with boats. The Azure Window, a spectacular natural rock arch in the sea, frames the blue Mediterranean.
A rocky inlet with a tiny sand beach, and chapel, with views of Comino and the Blue Lagoon. Perfect for a lunchtime swim.
After early breakfast, we take the ferry back to Malta to catch our flights.
