Into the romantic heart of Venice
Working in the Venetian style...From our lovely location in the centre we can adopt an on-the-move approach, travelling via Vaporetto water bus and along the canalsides on foot. We'll encounter crowded piazzas and tranquil waterways where we can sketch the movement of people, water and boats. Keeping it smallOn our trip to St Marks Square, small studies using sketching media such as pencil, charcoal, water-soluble graphite, pen and wash, hard pastels and watercolour pencils will be perfect for this busy location. Later we can develop our live studies in the peace of the hotel. Locations locations locations...With such a variety of locations we'll be spoilt for choice. We can get out early to capture the view from the Fundamente delle Farine across to Santa Maria della Salute in the morning light. We will find quiet, narrow, side canals and take a Vaporetto water bus to Burano where the brightly-coloured houses create wonderful reflections in the water while we enjoy the relative peace and quiet.
