We ensure that each guide we work with is involved in the local community, has a
real understanding of its natural history and can share an enjoyment of the local
food and culture. They have an intimate knowledge of the landscapes and villages
through which we walk.
Stefano grew up in the mountains of Abruzzo, central Italy. With a degree in animal
biology and an academic background in archaeology, he has a great breadth of knowledge.
He has over 20 years experience as a mountain leader and his explorer's spirit has
taken him to every continent. He loves to share his country's culture, history,
and natural places with our guests.
Our walking guide in Montenegro, Milan is a licenced mountaineering and cultural tours guide. He trained as a journalist at the University of Belgrade, but in 2008 changed career paths to follow his passion for walking and adventure.
Cristiano grew up in Fiano, near Rome. A lover of the outdoors, he has a degree
in Earth Education and Nature. The desire to travel and spend his days outdoors
led him to Authentic Adventures. He not only interprets the language, but also knows
a great deal about the history, geology and culture as he leads his walking trips
Hazel moved to South West Bulgaria 6 years ago after having fallen in love with the mountains and the traditional lifestyle of this hidden corner of Europe. Always a keen walker and lover of the outdoors, she and her husband, Dave, built a small family hotel in a quiet village and now enjoy sharing the history, culture and landscapes of their new home with their guests.
Marianna grew up in Ischia. With a degree in ecotourism, she likes walking through vineyards, tasting good food. She is passionate about protecting the culture and traditions of the island through events and management of the island paths. She has a sunny disposition and is keen to share her love of Ischia – a place that is full of colours, aromas, folklore, breathtaking views and much more.
Ilija studied history and communications at
Zagreb University – a perfect preparation
for his walking, biking and sea-kayaking
guiding across Croatia.
In addition to guiding Ilija is responsible
for designing many of the routes and when
he is not working as a guide he spends his
time playing soccer, rowing for his local
club and travelling.
Enekoiz Rodriguez Noda
Born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Enekoiz developed a very early love of La Gomera. His Gomeran grandfather passed on the culture, legends and anecdotes of the island and Enekoiz spent every summer of his childhood playing among the ravines and cliffs above Vallehermosos. Now, he’s made his passion his profession, being responsible for the planning and development of green tourism activities on the island and interpreting its heritage for visitors.
Professional Guide for several years, accompanying groups of travellers
and walkers in the Italian mountains and in trekking trips, with a
special focus on the lesser known places that retain the charm of
authenticity. Member of the Italian Geographical Society, passionate
about nature and travel, has lived in Spain and travelled to Central and
South America, always backpacking, convinced of the idea that walking
allows you to better discover and taste the true essence of places and
cultures of the world!
Zoologist, enthusiastic and passionate naturalist, who grew
up reading books ecology and observing with curiosity the behaviour
of the smallest form of life on Earth. She holds a degree in Natural
Sciences, specialised in the study of the behaviour of high mountain
ungulates, has also collected various experiences both in research and
in the International Conservation of the Italian Fauna. She later earned
a master's degree on Sustainable tourism and ecotourism and is now a
nature guide who has managed to combine her greatest passions: walking
in nature and trying to convey to the guests her infinite passion for
With a degree in archaeology, Valentina has been a real fieldworker in Rome. Her passion in connecting history to nature has meant she’s been backpacking for the past twenty years. Her love for art and mountains is what she tries to put into the tours she leads, sharing enthusiasm, knowledge and emotions with her groups. Her aim is to communicate the wonders of the world through guided tours.
