After receiving an art school and college education Ronald went into retail sales
for several years until he decided he should be painting for a living.
He has succeeded in 'staying afloat' for over thirty years, has had many exhibitions
and completed many commissions both in the UK and abroad. He has illustrated books,
written books on drawing and is also a notable mural painter.
Ronald has always had a great interest in wildlife and landscape and in recent years
has concentrated on birds. He is currently the resident artist at WWT Slimbridge.
He has been teaching adults for over twenty years and has a reputation as an amusing
and very competent tutor.
He is very versatile and happy to work with students in most media. A recent student
commented “I was impressed by Ronald's versatility but what was more impressive
was his unstinting willingness to pass on all his skills."
