UK • Cotswolds • The Five Valleys
Five valleys and the south escarpment With both our business and our senior tutors being based in this area, we have chosen to centre our holidays here in the famous five valleys region of the Cotswolds. Bounded by the Roman towns of Cheltenham, Cirencester and Bath and the magnificent Severn estuary to the west, it remains an undiscovered part of the Cotswolds where secret valleys open to disclose country housesand churches standing in the same solitude as centuries past. Dating back to the iron age lies Minchinhampton Common – a large plateau of land with magnificent views, and still grazed today by cattle as a common right. Tucked into the hill just beneath this common lies The Bear of Rodborough – our base for all our holidays and short courses.
