Malaga – City of Culture.
Malaga – one of the oldest cities in the world - has an impressive line-up of museums and Moorish monuments, a pedestrianised centre, great cafes and shops. It is full of charm, has wonderful weather and excellent food – it’s also very easy to fly to!
It is an attractive southern Mediterranean coastal city with an important artistic heritage, once home to the internationally acclaimed painter and sculptor Pablo Picasso. The city houses over thirty five museums including the new Centre Pompidou, the world famous gallery, and the first branch outside France. It will add to the city’s already impressive range of art galleries including Museo Picasso, Museo Carmen Thyssen and Centro de Arte Contemporaneo. Indeed Malaga has been nominated for 2016 European Capital of Culture.
Our hotel is a short walk from the centre of the vibrant city and cultural scene, near to La Malagueta beach and the centenarian trees in the Paseo del Parque. It is also possible to visit the Malaga bullring nearby if you wish.
