Gozo

The Island of Gozo

Gozo is the tiny sister isle of Malta. The islands are, together, no bigger than the Isle of Wight but they host an enormous variety of visual and historic richness.

The weather is typically Mediterranean, and the Gozitans wonderfully welcoming, perhaps because they have been invaded and colonised throughout history - Phoenicians, Romans, Turks, Italians, French and English have all left their mark on the Maltese psyche, looks, landscape and language. Maltese is the only Semitic language written in the Roman alphabet and although its roots are Aramaic, it is peppered with all the other languages of its past.

Where we stay
Having discovered two excellent but differing hotels we have decided to offer both and hence different priced holidays.

Airport transfer time
Transfer time for both hotels is approximately 1½ hours including ferry.

Hotel Ta Cenc

This luxury hotel is based on the south of the island. Beautiful lounges, a choice of pools, luxurious bedrooms, a private beach and great service make this option a bit of a treat.

Hotel San Andrea

A simple but extremely charming and clean hotel, with good en-suite rooms, great food and all managed by a lovely family. Located right on the waterfront there's no need for a pool!
