Tropical breezes of Kerala and Big Cat Safari in Gujarat
We first visited India in 2009 adventuring to Kerala, the maritime region at the foot of the south-west coast, which lies under a tropical sun tempered by gentle ocean breezes. It was, and still is, the perfect place to relax, to wander and to explore and everywhere you'll experience new colours, new scents and new sights. Kerala is a highly cultured state yet it is rich in wildlife, thanks to the climate and the diversity of the landscape. Our fantastic contacts in this region give us access to some very special places.
I have had a wonderful holiday, so thank you very much indeed. I would do it all over again and I am still living on cloud nine.
Beatrice Ferguson, SINGING HOLIDAY
INDIA - 2015
In 2017, we introduce the beautiful region of Gujarat, also known as the ‘Jewel of Western India’ with nine hundred miles of stunning coastline. Our four centre holiday takes in the former capital city, Ahmedabad, with a rich colonial past and European style architecture by Le Corbusier, followed by three nights in Dasada, famed for the Modhera Sun Temple, Rani-Ki-Vav Unesco World Heritage Site and the Danghandra Sanctuary where we enjoy a safari and stay in authentic kooba houses. In the Lion Safari Camp we stay in luxury tented accommodation to explore the Sasan Gir National Park – one of the best places in India to see Big Cats with the highest population of leopards. Finally, we end our journey in Rajkot, once home to Gandhi, staying in the Khirasara Palace, within easy reach of the town, taking in the sights and doing a little shopping. Each region offers a variety of landscapes, wildlife and rich cultural interest. Cricket, cotton and commerce are central to the culture in this wonderful region.
